BTS announces ‘Break the Silence’ docu-series and here’s when, where and how to watch it

BTS just made news after gaining 50 million views within 24 hours after its online free concert was streamed on YouTube. The concert was meant to be a compensation to fans who have been looking forward to the group’s world tour this year.

The “Bang Bang Con” aired from April 18 to 19, delivering 24 hours of performances and great concert footage as fans around the world stay at home due to lockdowns brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the seven members - RM, Jungkook, V, Jimin, J-Hope, Jin and Suga are gearing up for another surprise after announcing the upcoming release of their docu-series titled “Break the Silence.”

The docu-series details

As announced on WeVerse on April 21, the streaming will begin on April 28 and it will be divided into parts so there will still be episodes that will air on May 12. WeVerse is BTS’ newly-formed official fan club platform that is owned by Big Hit Entertainment and beNX.

The docu-series will show footage of BTS’ 351-day journey as they prepare and perform for their “Love Yourself Tour” and “Speak Yourself Tour.” This means that fans will see clips from 2018 to 2019.

How to watch the docu-series

Fans who would like to watch the “Break the Silence” documentary series must download the WeVerse app. There is a fan club subscription fee or the membership fee that a cost $30 a year and this will give fans access to the show as well as other contents of BTS. Of course, members also have the privilege to have the priority when it comes to concert tickets and other activities of the boy band.

Finally, for fans who can’t download the WeVerse for some reason, they can still watch BTS’ “Break the Silence” docu-series as it will also be made available for purchase as a standalone video. They did the same thing for the “Bon Voyage” reality show where fans are able to view it for $17.99. It is predicted that more shows and surprises are in store for the ARMYs as the world slowly heals from the COVID-19 pandemic.
