“Avengers: Infinity War” came out seven months ago and yet, people are still not done taking the movie apart piece by piece. This diligence has been yielding rewards with fans discovering minor, but fun details. For example, there was a scene in which Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) seemed to be displeased with Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) new suit. The reason for why the surviving Avengers were spared by Thanos (Josh Brolin) was revealed, as well.
In a recent post over at Reddit, one user points out a scene near the start of the movie where Bruce reacts rather oddly to seeing the Bleeding Edge Iron Man suit. It’s a small detail that was undoubtedly overlooked by most people who watched “Avengers: Infinity War.” However, Marvel fans are not most people and pointed out that Tony’s geeky buddy was not happy about the armor.
The fans attribute this to the bromance that developed between the two brainy heroes after the first “Avengers” film. Following the two years he spent being suppressed by The Hulk, it’s only understandable that Bruce might be a bit upset upon discovering that his friend had moved on. Seeing the new suit in “Avengers: Infinity War” was like seeing a former BFF hanging out with a new BFF.
Speaking of “Avengers: Infinity War,” Head of Visual Development at Marvel, Ryan Meinerding recently revealed why Thanos didn’t massacre all of the remaining Avengers after the infamous “snap” scene. It would seem that this was because the Mad Titan became all-powerful, Comic Book reports.
"The plan of getting all the Infinity Stones is putting [Thanos] in the position of being so powerful that he is sort of calmer, more single-minded, and more reasonable," Meinerding explained. "He is not necessarily worried about killing the heroes. As long as he ends up with the stones, he can accomplish what he wants to."
