Washington D.C., Sept. 11, 2017 -- Associa Community Management Corporation is overseeing the renovations of the Watergate West (WW) building, one of six buildings that make up the famous Watergate complex in Washington, DC.
The property was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005 and is located just north of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on the Potomac River.
The 143 unit, WW building was surveyed in 2012 by the Gardner James Engineering firm and it was determined to have extreme deterioration and distress throughout. The board of directors and management team embarked on a three year renovation project to restore the building to its original glory. The massive renovation includes repairs to the interior, exterior, balconies, roof, windows and lobby.
“The Watergate property is one of the most historic locations in D.C and we are excited to be a part of the renovation process,” stated Nick Mazzarella, Associa Community Management Corporation president. “The repairs have been extensive and the stunning results are worth all the hard work. Our board, residents and community are definitely pleased with the final outcome and new look of their one-of-a-kind home.”
