There are only a few hours left before the Apple Watch Series 7 pre-order begins, but the company has yet to reveal how much the new product will cost. Luckily, a new leak may have unveiled the full list of pricing that suggests the price tags would not differ much from last year.
Apple Watch Series 7 prices
Last month, the tech giant revealed that the Apple Watch Series 7 will come in two new sizes — 41mm and 45mm. These are a millimeter bigger than the watches released in previous years. While that could have been a justification to raise prices, a new report suggests Apple is not implementing steep price hikes for the upcoming smartwatch.
Front Page Tech, a website run by leaker Jon Prosser, reported from “sources familiar with the matter” that the 41mm aluminum, GPS-only Apple Watch Series 7 will cost $399, making it the cheapest variant in the lineup. Its 45mm counterpart will reportedly cost $429. An added cellular connectivity will raise the prices to $499 and $529, respectively. The same pricing scheme applies to Nike-branded models.
Similar to previous Apple Watch launches, the titanium and stainless steel variants will add a few hundred dollars to the price tag. The 41mm and 45mm stainless steel with sport band will cost $699 and $749, respectively. The cost increases by $50 if customers choose the stainless steel Apple Watch Series 7 with Milanese Loop.
As expected, models equipped with titanium housing are the most pricey. The 41mm titanium Apple Watch Series 7 is priced at $799, while the 45mm will be available at $849. All the stainless steel and titanium models mentioned in the same report come with GPS and cellular support.
Apple Watch Series 7 pre-order, release date
The reported prices seem plausible considering Apple’s offers for the latest iPhones. But since they came from a leak, Apple fans should take them with a grain of salt for now. On the bright side, Apple should update its website in a few hours for the opening of the Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders.
Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders will kick off on Friday, Oct. 8, at 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET. It will be available in stores after a week on Oct. 15.
