Fans want “American Crime Story” season 3 and even more so after its successful airing of the “The Assassination of Gianni Versace” story which was the concept for the second season. So, when is the third installment coming? What will it be about?
The goods news is that although “American Crime Story” season 3 is not yet renewed, FX Network’s CEO John Landgraf hinted that it will arrive. As Deadline reported, the TV network’s chief said that they would still do the third installment.
Perhaps, FX has not renewed the “American Crime Story” season 3 yet because there is no solid concept about the third sequel yet. The production team previously confirmed that their next story would be about Monica Lewinsky’s scandal then later, they changed it to the Katrina story, the hurricane that severely hit New Orlean in 2005. However, these two narratives were discarded so now, the concept for the third season is not clear.
Most probably, this constant change in story is the biggest reason for the delay of the “American Crime Story” season 3. The producers can’t decide which one to feature thus the release date keeps getting moved and the series’ production is also surely affected by the indecision.
But while “American Crime Story” season 3 has no specific concept yet and there is no news about the drama, it does not mean that it was already canceled. At the recent Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, John Landgraf said that the end of the show is not in sight,
He added, “We have three or four ideas in active development where we’ve acquired rights and done a fair amount of research and have writers working on them. I couldn’t tell you what will be ready first. The likelihood is all of them may be produced over time.”
What’s more, after “American Crime Story” season 3, there’s more coming as Landgraf said that they will continue doing the drama as long as the show’s executive producer Ryan Murphy want to do it.
“American Crime Story” season 3’s airdate is not yet available which is understandable as the final concept has yet to be decided.
