Did Adele get married? It appears to be so if we will be basing it on her acceptance speech following a major win at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
ABC News reports that the “Hello” singer won five Grammys, including Album, Record, and Song of the Year, at this Sunday’s event. The singer, upon winning top honors gestured to her longtime partner and father to her four year-old boy Angelo.
The Sun said Adele and Konecki, a former Wall Street executive turned chief executive officer of charity Drop4Drop, which campaigns to provide clean water in poor countries, and co-founder of Life Water, an eco-friendly brand of bottled water in the UK, were rumored to have gotten married on Christmas Day. Paparazzi spotted saw Adele wearing a gold band on her wedding ring finger while she was on and about in Los Angeles. The two first met through singer Ed Sheeran in 2011 following Adele’s break from her music due to a throat surgery, and had Angelo a year after that.
"Grammys, I appreciate it. The Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son — you're the only reason I do it," she said in her speech as Konecki watched.
The two were also sporting matching gold bands on their wedding fingers at Staples Center last night, E! said.
However, CNN noted that Adele switched the label from husband to partner after the show, prompting uncertainty. There has been no word either from Adele or Adele’s camp about her acceptance speech.
