A Ma Maniére celebrates its 10th anniversary with the Air Jordan 3, featuring an elegant Violet Ore palette. Meanwhile, the Air Jordan 4 “White Thunder” is on every back-to-school shopping list, set to release on August 24, 2024.
A Ma Maniére Unveils Elegant Air Jordan 3 Retro to Celebrate 10th Anniversary in August
The world pays attention when A Ma Maniere touches a sneaker. The boutique retailer has exhibited unmatched taste through its storied partnership with Jordan Brand, from conjuring a design concept to selecting materials and colorways. According to Sneaker News, that union continues to flex its muscles with the Air Jordan 3 Retro this August, showcased via official Nike images.
Once again, AMM relies on the elegant palette of Violet Ore, applying the muted purple shade to perforated suede panels that accent the all-black tumbled leather upper. Flat Pewter grey appears on the hairy suede panels, daringly replacing the iconic elephant print. A yellowed tint on the midsole contributes to the aged aesthetic, a common theme in several AMM x Air Jordan collaborations. The construction of the Air Jordan 3 has also been refined, with a deconstructed execution resulting in pinched ankle collars and tongues for a more form-fitting appearance.
In addition to the shoes, A Ma Maniere applies a series of hangtags—their customary brand label and the 1988-inspired plastic hangtag colored in Violet Ore. The boots will accompany a plush cloth/scarf in dark burgundy, while the special-edition shoe box celebrates the Whitaker Group retail imprint’s tenth anniversary. The upcoming Maniere Jordan 4 is also likely part of this milestone celebration.
A release date is expected on August 21, 2024, with an MSRP of $250.
The Air Jordan 4 ‘White Thunder’ Returns in 2024, Topping Back-to-School Shopping Lists
Jordan Brand debuted the original Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” in 2006. Little did they know that a highly appealing mini-series of AJ4s would result, forming one of the most-wanted Retro releases year after year. In 2024, that clean-cut black-on-tone color-blocking returns in a clean white on August 24, 2024, and it will top many back-to-school shopping lists.
Although the sneaker has been heavily previewed for nearly a year, with official retailer images recently revealed, the “White Thunder” Jordan 4 gets an official preview straight from Jordan Brand. While the moniker sticks for now, some have boldly called these the “Panda” — a nod to the infamously ubiquitous Dunk Low that changed the landscape of sneaker collecting and consumer trends.
The Air Jordan 4 isn’t quite the Dunk. It’s not quite the everyday sneaker that the low-top model is. Still, Air Jordan 4s have grown in popularity, suggesting this simple colorway will be a top seller during the competitive shopping season before the new school semester starts.
The Air Jordan 4 “White Thunder” is confirmed to arrive on August 24, 2024, for $215. Full family sizes are confirmed; Grade School pairs are available for $160, while Pre-school and Toddler editions are tagged at $100 and $60, respectively. The shoes will be available on SNKRS and a full roster of retailers, making for one of the busiest sneaker releases of the month.
