iOS 12 Latest Update: Apple Removes Multiple FaceTime Options Due to Performance Issues

The latest mobile operating system update for iPhone users is still filled with bugs as developers are trying to fix problems for iOS 12. After Apple released the latest update this week, the company has been flooded with complaints regarding performance issues for iPhone users.

But rather than fixing the Over-the-Air (OTA) update, Apple opted to pull it out altogether and roll out Developer Beta 8 and iOS 12 Public Beta 6 on Wednesday afternoon, Forbes reported. Issues have always been a constant presence whenever a company rolls out a new operating system and the iOS 12 is no different.

Before launching, Apple announced that the iOS 12 would support up to 32 users on a single FaceTime call. That has now been removed by the company as it heavily lagged whenever the app was open.

Apple didn’t want to allocate resources to trying to fix the FaceTime bug issues but instead focused their attention on other glitches that are easier to fix. For instance, iOS 12 has resolved the performance issues observed in Developer Beta 7. The new Voice in Settings can now be freely utilized by users as it will no longer crash the app. And the HomeKit hub option to operate the Apple TV has also been fixed.

As for the bugs of iOS 12, FaceTime will not be supporting multiple users at once as mentioned earlier. Screen Time may inflate Picked Up Phone data due to synced devices. For users with multiple ride-sharing applications installed on their device, instead of giving an ETA, Siri will opt to open that particular app instead.

Users who don’t want to experience performance issues with their device because of iOS 12 can simply skip the latest update. However, if the Automatic software update is turned on, iOS 12 is going to be installed. So it’s best to turn that off for a while until Apple finally releases a more stable version, expected to be released next month.
