I am a water quality microbiologist studying the ecology of antibiotic resistant bacteria and the potential for resistance to spread in environmental reservoirs. My dissertation research is on the survival of vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE) associated with sewage. My advisers at the University of South Florida are Dr. Valerie (Jody) Harwood and Dr. Jason Rohr. I received my B.A. from Barnard College and M.A. from Queens College, both in NYC.
