Dr Lauren Cortis is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice at Adelaide University and a registered pharmacist with more than 20 years of experience across hospital, primary care, community pharmacy, and end-of-life care. Her work focuses on helping people make informed, person-centred decisions about medicines and healthcare.
Lauren completed her PhD at Flinders University in 2024, exploring how healthcare systems can better support the medication experiences of people living with cancer and other chronic conditions. She now teaches in the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacist Prescribing and researches quality use of medicines, prescribing policy, pharmaceutical culture, and the social and health system factors that shape how medicines are used in everyday life.
