Daria is a senior lecturer in energy law, co-director of the Aberdeen University Centre for Energy Law, and coordinator at the Just Transition Lab. She joined the Law School in Aberdeen as a lecturer in January 2017. Daria's main research interests are in just transition, energy and climate law. Her current research focuses just transition in energy hubs, and legal aspects of fossil fuels phase-out. Daria holds a a PhD in Law (University of Aberdeen, 2017), an LLM in Public International Law (University of Groningen, 2013), and an LLB (National Law Academy of Ukraine, 2012). She gained professional experience in energy consultancy and legal practice. Daria has published extensively on environmental and energy law, Arctic governance.Daria is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association, World Commission of Environmental Law, and International Law Association.
