Tim came to the University of Hull in 2007 to read a degree in Politics and International Relations, which he completed in 2010 with a dissertation on the United Nations Security Council. After that, he then went on to read for a Masters' degree in International Law and Politics, for which he won a departmental scholarship. He completed that degree with a dissertation on the foreign policy of the Liberal Party and the Liberal Democrats since the Suez Crisis. Tim won a University of Hull PhD anniversary scholarship and has recently graduated with a PhD, focused on the conception of Britain as a Great Power, especially among the British political elite under the Coalition.
