I am an Associate Professor at the Institute of Society and Culture. I was awarded my PhD in Human Geography from Macquarie University in 2007 and have been with the University of Western Sydney since 2007. I work on housing affordability, sustainability, multi-stakeholder governance, decolonisation, property law, resilience and citizenship. I am a recipient of the Housing Minister's Award for Early Career Researchers. Since 2010 I have been leading a research team working on the establishment of community land trusts in Australia; in 2014 the team received the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Development) Research Award for Research Excellence through Partnership, and was Highly Commended for the Vice Chancellor's Excellence Award for Excellence in University Engagement.
