The National Basketball Association (NBA) has extended its 20-year global partnership with German sportswear brand Adidas.
The extension allows Adidas to continue serving as the global marketing partner of the NBA, Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), and NBA G League, with rights in the footwear category.
Adidas has some high-profile partnerships with NBA and WNBA stars such as the Portland Trailblazers’ Damian Lillard, Brooklyn Nets’ James Harden, and Candace Parker of the Chicago Sky.
According to Adidas Basketball global GM Eric Wise, they look forward to showing NBA fans how they are reimagining basketball, which fuses lifestyle with performance.
Austin Hodges, Adidas’ head of NBA marketing, noted that the partnership features two globally iconic brands dedicated to growing the game.
