TAMPA, Fla., April 11, 2018 -- Brian Butler, president and CEO of Vistra Communications, LLC (Vistra), has been named the 2018 U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Minority-Owned Small Business Person of the Year (State of Florida and South Florida District). Butler, a retired Army officer, is being recognized for his efforts and accomplishments for his resilient work ethic, leading and sustaining a thriving business, and numerous, ongoing contributions to the community. Vistra provides integrated marketing communications to corporate, government and nonprofit clients.

Butler is among nine 2018 SBA South Florida District Small Business Week Awards Winners and will be honored at the 31st Annual Government Small Business Conference May 4 at the Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore during the keynote luncheon. The conference is co-hosted by the Florida Procurement Technical Assistance Center at University of South Florida (USF) and the Florida Small Business Development Center at USF. The event is one of several around the state being held in conjunction with National Small Business Week held April 29 to May 5.

Butler founded Vistra in 2007 after a successful U.S. Army career and the growing agency now consists of 70 team members.
