President Donald Trump triggered a Twitter storm, probably being irritated by new media reports published in Washington Post that suggests that President Trump is being investigated over obstruction of justice by special counsel Mueller, who was appointed by the deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein to investigate allegations that Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election campaign.

After months of reports by the American media that Trump was under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the story died when the former FBI director James Comey testified under oath that Trump was personally never under investigation. The obstruction of Justice story also died as James Comey confirmed that no one, including President Trump, never asked him or tried to influence him to drop any investigation. However, the mainstream media in the United States is focusing on the part of James Comey testimony where he said that Trump told him about the former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, “Hope you can let him go”. Though FBI director said that there was no direct request or order to drop the Flynn investigation from Trump, legal experts have confirmed that President Trump being the chief of the executive branch can even order the FBI to drop charges as he can pardon almost anybody by the powers vested in him by the Constitution of the United States. The media reports focused on if Trump ordered anybody in the intelligence arena to prevent FBI from investigating the crimes of Flynn as well as collusion.
