Donald Trump, the U.S. Presidential candidate of the Republican Party just can’t shift the odds and polls that are moving against him. Over the past week, Mr. Trump put a tremendous effort to swing the public mood by turning the focus on economic policies but it seems that the August controversy and the feud are still weighing on his campaign. He faced sharp criticism over his bitter battle with a Muslim gold star family that provoked Mr. Trump by calling him ignorant over the constitution over his policy to ban Muslims from entering the United States. He drew criticism from Senior Republicans like Paul Ryan and John McCain and in retaliation Trump refused to endorse them in their reelection. He later endorsed Ryan but not McCain.
Since the feud, betting odds have sharply shifted against Trump. The betting market is now predicting a Clinton Presidency with 80 percent probability compared to 67 percent before the feud. The polling average shows that Trump who was leading Clinton after the Republican convention is now well behind by as much as 7.7 percent. Electoral mapping suggests that Clinton could win as much as 362 electorates if the election is held now.
