“Rocio is more than a radio personality; she is a mother, writer and talented performer,” said Gabriel Vázquez, SVP & Head of Talent, TúYo Media. “She is the perfect personality to launch our TuYo Radio platform on DASH. She earned her “La Peligrosa” nickname – ‘the dangerous one’ - for her ability to speak freely about taboo topics that most people are afraid to address. She represents strong Latinas and has proven time and time again to be a leader in this male-dominated business. Rocio’s millions of fans admire her for being imperfect, sincere and accepting her flaws. We know the DASH listeners will be drawn to her.”
Sandoval has had both a successful radio and singing career in Latin entertainment. Prior to the birth of her son she released four successful CDs, toured throughout the U.S. and Mexico, and was the host of one of Spanish radios top daily shows. She left radio and music six years ago to raise her son and is now entering back into entertainment with TuYo. The re-emergence of “La Peligrosa,” on TuYo Radio on DASH will showcase a woman who is stronger, mature and more determined than ever to dominate radio once more.
TuYo Radio on Dash is a streaming bilingual music, news, talk and entertainment channel. The channel will be led by radio industry veteran Veronica Nava, record executives Joel Medina, Javier Morales and Vaźquez, all reporting to CEO/Founder Pete Salgado.
“The team driving our radio division is first class and all have created careers for talent in their industries,” said Vaźquez. “Veronica is a revered radio industry veteran, driving audience and talent; Joel and Javier Morales both have deep experience at independent and major record labels as well as music publishing; and Gabriel Vasquez and I have a long history of working together with the career of Jenni Rivera.”
