‘The Flash’ Season 3, Episode 6 Spoilers: “Shade” – Barry Tells Truth About Wally’s Dreams of Kid Flash, Prepares to Battle Doctor Alchemy

‘The Flash’ season 3’s episode 6, entitled “Shade”, will follow Barry as he tells the truth about Wally’s recurring visions of Kid Flash. Barry will also go head-to-head against the villainous Doctor Alchemy in order to protect Wally.

The synopsis for “Shade” posted on Cosmic Book News stated, “When Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) starts having dreams about being Kid Flash, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he has to tell Wally, Iris (Candice Patton), and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about what happened to Wally in Flashpoint in order to keep him safe.”

In the promo, Wally is having visions about being Kid Flash in the Flashpoint timeline. It opens to Gustin saying, “Wally’s been having dreams about being a speedster... memories of that life.” Wally doesn’t seem to be doing too well as the vision seem to be causing him pain.

In the next half of the promo, Barry goes head to head against Doctor Alchemy. According to International Business Times, Barry manages to find the super-villain’s lair while looking for Wally.

In the preceding episodes, Doctor Alchemy has been transforming humans endowed with powers in the Flashpoint timeline into metahumans. Doctor Alchemy intends to lure Wally to his hideout to take advantage of Wally’s desperate dreams of becoming Kid Flash. However, Team Flash is doing everything they can to save Wally from this fate.

They lock Wally up in one of the metahuman cells at S.T.A.R. labs but he manages to escape and ends up fighting his sister Iris. It seems that Barry is guilt-ridden about the fact that he created Flashpoint.

During an interview with IGN, Gustin revealed that Doctor Alchemy is one of the most terrifying antagonists on the series. He said, "[Alchemy's] the biggest, scariest presence we've had on the show… There's something about Alchemy that we've never had. He's not a speedster, so he's just going to come in at everybody from different angles, using tactics that we haven't seen yet. He's scarier for a lot of psychological reasons, that others haven't had."

Meanwhile, Patton said, "Kid Flash is such a beloved character in the Flash kind of comic lore, so I think it's really cool that fans of the Flash comics will finally get to see that character come to life."

‘The Flash’ season 3’s episode 6, entitled “Shade”, is scheduled to air on The CW on November 15, 2016. It was directed by JJ Makaro and written by Emily Silver and David Kob.
