DALLAS, April 03, 2018 -- Tellabs, the leading provider of access network solutions for both enterprise and telecommunications customers, announced today the addition of Gerry Pagano as Vice President of Sales to the Tellabs executive leadership team.
Mr. Pagano will report directly to Jim Norrod, Tellabs President and CEO, and will direct both the enterprise Optical LAN and telecommunications Broadband solutions sales teams, putting these two highly-skilled groups under one leader for the first time in recent history.
Gerry is a proven sales executive and brings a wealth of global enterprise and telecommunications sales experience, most recently with Ciena Corporation. He previously made successful contributions in executive sales leadership roles at Zhone Technologies, Ascend Communications and Telebit among others.
“I’m convinced that Gerry is the right person to continue driving our company’s growth, as fiber-based network solutions enjoy on-going expansion, across our core markets of enterprise and telecommunications service providers,” said Jim Norrod, Tellabs President and CEO. “With Gerry managing the sales organization, this allows me to have a greater focus on new business opportunities to further scale our company. Our owners at Marlin Equity Partners are particularly pleased to have this last part of my leadership team filled so we can further expand both of our product lines.”
“I see this as a great time to join Tellabs. I’m confident that my skill-sets can help Tellabs accelerate the successes they are already achieving with their Broadband and Optical LAN solutions,” said Gerry Pagano, newly appointed Tellabs Vice President of Sales.
