HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., April 10, 2018 -- Swinerton and Golden West College officially opened the doors of the new Regional Criminal Justice Training center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.
Swinerton partnered with DLR Group architects on this design-build project. The new Criminal Justice Training Center consists of a new two-story 38,932 square foot building which contains a new multi-purpose room, classrooms, forced simulation room, faculty offices, lecture space, a lifetime fitness lab, a ready room, mat room, locker rooms, armory, administration and reception areas, and a conference room.
Swinerton also completed outdoor spaces that include a grinder area, Biddle course, parking, traffic stop street, and a scenario village.
The Criminal Justice Training Center, a Regional Law Enforcement Training Facility for the Orange County Community College district, is deeply committed to the college’s mission to deliver high-quality learning and learning-related services to students and the community. The training center exists to provide educational, vocational and technical training that will lead to transfer to a university, specialized employment, or career advancement.
