TACOMA, Wash., Aug. 31, 2016 -- Spectrum Pension Consultants, Inc. (Spectrum), an independently owned licensee of Alliance Benefit Group (ABG), is pleased to announce an agreement to acquire the ERISA assets of Total Benefit Services, Inc. (TBS).
Spectrum and TBS have spent many hours collaborating to create a plan that allows seamless transition in services, fees and plan management for sponsors and participants along with the advisors of TBS plans. Through this merger TBS clients and advisor partners will have access to Spectrum’s comprehensive suite of technology and management services while still maintaining high quality customer service. Spectrum's 37+ years in the retirement management business, ABG membership, and professionally qualified staff assures they are well positioned for the task of continuing to provide quality plan management services to TBS clients and growing the segment throughout California.
To show the continued commitment to existing and future partners in Fresno, California, this book of TBS business will be operated by Fresno, California based Managing Consultant Amy McGuire. Each Spectrum client, plan, contact, and advisor is "owned" by an Account Manager with a team of highly qualified and experienced consultants using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Office 365 integration. Sponsors of retirement plans can anticipate more frequent communication and an in-house open architecture Recordkeeping "Platform Provider" option which includes complimentary development of Spectrum's Plan Intelligence Reporting™.
"Rick Aune has built a tremendous ERISA business in Fresno, CA which we are very excited to continue to grow. He will continue to be involved with several clients as ERISA Attorney while our firm takes over the contract administration services via Spectrum’s Plan Services Segments," said CEO Petros Koumantaros. Yannis Koumantaros, who is Spectrum's CFO, commented, "I would like to publicly thank our local community Heritage Bank in Washington for putting together most of the financing for this deal. We are excited to maintain and grow a Fresno, California operation, and to service all of our current and future California clients, advisors, and plans from a Fresno satellite office."
