SEATTLE, March 26, 2018 -- Sound Community Bank (the Bank) announces the opening of a new state-of-the-art branch at 2400 3rd Avenue, Suite 100, Seattle, WA, 98121. This is the second Downtown Seattle location for Sound Community Bank, who has operated a full-service branch at 5th Avenue and Virginia Street in Seattle since 1992.
The new branch of Sound Community Bank is located between Battery and Wall on 3rd Avenue. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM. The branch features cutting edge Interactive Teller Machines (ITM) in the lobby vestibule where clients are able to speak to, see, and interact with a live teller to conduct most banking transactions. The branch also features a drive-through ITM in the parking garage beneath the building, accessible through the alley between 3rd and 4th Avenues and Wall and Battery streets. This branch was specifically designed and tailored to fit Downtown Seattle’s unique population and provides a welcoming environment including a coffee bar, seating area, private merchant banking area, and private consultation rooms. A Grand Opening raffle for an Alaskan cruise vacation takes place April 2nd through the end of June 2018.
Staff members hold Personal Banker titles which means each employee is able to perform multiple functions including opening new accounts, assisting with transactions, and taking loan applications. The branch is managed by Geoffrey Reiman who previously managed an Umpqua Bank branch in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle.
“We are excited to add to our Downtown Seattle footprint,” Sound Community Bank President and CEO Laurie Stewart remarked. “We hope the new branch becomes a neighborhood gathering place amid the rapid development of the Belltown area. The new ITM technology is impressive and we plan to eventually deploy it across our retail banking system. We will hold a grand opening celebration sometime summer.”
Sound Community Bank is a Seattle-based community bank, providing personal and business banking services in King, Pierce, Snohomish, Jefferson and Clallam Counties, and on the web at www.soundcb.com. Sound Community Bank is a subsidiary of Sound Financial Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFBC).
