NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2016 -- Sichenzia Ross Ference Kesner LLP (“SRFK”), highly respected for their work in the securities and capital markets industries, continued its expansion and diversification for the firm’s practice today and announced the addition of noted intellectual property lawyer Scott H. Kaliko as Counsel to the firm to head the firm’s new intellectual property group. Kaliko joins SRFK from his own firm, Kaliko & Associates, LLC of thirteen years, prior to which he held roles at JP Morgan Chase & Co., and Fish & Neave, LLP (now Ropes & Gray, LLP).
A recognized authority on intellectual property laws – particularly in connection with prosecution of patents and litigation of intellectual property matter – Kaliko’s practice focuses primarily on advising clients in complex in intellectual property matters. His work encompasses IP transactions, patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret prosecution, and IP litigation. He has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies including Bayer Pharmaceutical, Honeywell, Siemens, Smiths Industries (Now GE Aviation), TV Guide (Gemstar), Johnson & Johnson, Time Warner Entertainment Company, and Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Kaliko also adds a unique talent to his intellectual property practice as he is also a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS) and a subject matter expert in the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering compliance for banks, broker dealers and investment advisers. He has provided counsel to Bain Capital, First Southwest Broker Dealer, Banamex (subsidiary of Citibank), LPL Financial, and Aladdin Capital.

For more than 15 years as an attorney he acted as counsel for a variety of intellectual property clients by performing patent and trademark prosecution, IP Litigation, IP Asset Management, and IP Counseling. Kaliko has patented numerous technical innovations in the pharmaceutical industry, biotech, and high tech industries. Further, Kaliko has also acted as first chair in several IP litigations covering patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters.
