KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 29, 2018 --
Sandbox, an independent, full-service agency, today announced the opening of its impressive new office space in Kansas City, uniting its two local locations under one roof. The opening signifies increased growth and momentum for the agency, contributing to its stronghold in the Midwest, as well as across North America.
Since its foundation in 2014, the agency has grown to over 400 employees and today supports clients in both the United States and Canada. Its business growth by 16 % over the last year and several new clients added in the health and pharma space sees the agency working on a roster of notable brands, including Kite Pharma, American Express, Sprint, and John Deere.
The new Kansas City office occupies almost 30,000-square-feet at 300 Wyandotte St. in the River Market. The space will accommodate 100 Sandbox employees, and boasts unique features including an interior amphitheater linking the second and third floors, an open floorplan, a photography studio, video production areas and editing suites, large collaboration spaces, a living wall, outdoor patio space, and state-of-the-art technology.
“We were in search of the perfect space that inspired creativity and collaboration for our team and couldn’t be happier with what this space had to offer,” said Mark Goble, chief operating officer at Sandbox. “Our new hub will be the perfect place to unite our teams, host clients from around the country and hold regular agency and industry events.”
In addition to this expansion, the Kansas City office celebrated two prominent members of its staff who were honored by the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) local Kansas City affiliation this month: Ethan Whitehill, Principal and Julie Barr, Account Director, for Advertising Professional of the Year and Member of the Year, respectively. Ethan was honored at the 2018 Journey Awards hosted at the Berg Event Space on March 21, as one of only four local leaders recognized for making an impact on the Kansas City advertising community through volunteerism, personal or agency-led efforts, or commitment to the development of others.
