SOUTH WINDSOR, CT, Oct. 21, 2016 -- Roger Waters, the famous bassist and vocalist for Pink Floyd, is embarking on a solo tour called “Us + Them” from May to October 2017. Tickets went on sale Friday October 21st to the general public, and they can be bought anytime at TicketLiquidator.com. This is a huge step in Waters’ solo career, as his last tour was about six years ago. Waters has to “fill his own tour shoes,” as “The Wall Live” tour was a mega success and sold 1.4 million tickets around the world.
On his website, Roger explains, "We are going to take a new show on the road; the content is very secret. It'll be a mixture of stuff from my long career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things. Probably 75% of it will be old material and 25% will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme. It will be a cool show, I promise you. It'll be spectacular like all my shows have been.” He seems to be continuing the medium between Pink Floyd’s success with a strong fan base and his own, fresher originals. This meeting place, in combination with intense technological effects, will take the magic from “The Wall Live” Tour to “Us + Them.”
“Us + Them” will cover 40 shows and guarantees excellent visuals that create an overall experience as opposed to a solely vocally-focused concert. It is a wonderful surprise for Waters’ and Pink Floyd’s fans because the longtime singer remarked that “The Wall Live” might have been his last, but he’s back for another extensive run. Waters announced the new tour shortly after the first week of the Desert Trip Festival.
Tickets go on sale at 10a.m. local time Friday October 21st and can be purchased at Ticket Liquidator.
