SARASOTA, Fla., Feb. 25, 2016 -- Ringling College of Art and Design's Willis Smith Gallery is pleased to present Photography & Film Constructs, opening March 4 from 4:30-7:00 pm during the campus-wide ArtWalk. The exhibition features artists whose concepts are manifest in photography and film-based media.

According to Mark Ormond, Curator of the exhibition, "Each artist in this exhibition approaches creating a single image or composite film or video in a different way. The artist may construct a fiction involving a person, objects in a setting, a location and/or narrative, in each case challenged to address purely formal issues as well, while creating an invented image."
Artists in the exhibition include Morton Bartlett, Julie Blackmon, Gregory Crewdson, Stan Douglas, Adam Fuss, Generic Arts Solutions, Mishka Henner, Elizabeth King, Adam Magyar, Yasumasa Morimura, Vik Muniz, Doug and Mike Starn, Bing Wright and Ji Zhou.
