STATE COLLEGE, Pa., May 02, 2017 -- Rex Energy Corporation (Nasdaq:REXX) today announced that it has changed the form of payment for the previously announced quarterly dividend on its Series A convertible perpetual preferred stock (“Series A Preferred Stock”). Previously, on April 21, 2017, the company announced the declaration of a quarterly dividend of $150.00 per share on the Series A Preferred Stock (equivalent to $1.50 per depository share) payable on May 15, 2017 in shares of common stock to holders of record as of May 1, 2017. The company has now elected to pay the upcoming dividend in cash rather than in shares of common stock.
