SEATTLE, June 19, 2017 -- Product Creation Studio, a Seattle-based product development firm, announced today that it has hired Don Baumgarten as Director of Mechanical Engineering. Don brings extensive experience in medical device and complex product development. Don will support the organization in delivering ISO 13485-certified product development services to clients.
Don Baumgarten has over two decades of experience in product development, project management and mechanical engineering with extensive experience in the design and manufacture of medical devices and high-volume consumer products. He has broad knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements for medical device quality systems and good manufacturing practices. He has managed teams in all phases of product development, from early R&D efforts developing new technologies, to detailed engineering and design, to scale-up for mass production.

At Stratos, Don led a number of large, cross-functional technical teams in medical development as well as many mid-sized teams in medical and non-medical device development. Don has worked with Fortune 500 companies and start-up companies on a wide variety of projects. His teams have developed new proprietary technologies and products that were commercially released to market for companies including GoPro, Pathway Technologies, and Intellectual Ventures.
