Prince Harry Did Not Greet King Charles on His 75th Birthday Amid Claims Duke Wasn't Invited: Report

Prince Harry reportedly have had every intention of calling King Charles but some things got in the way.

Prince Harry did not phone his father, King Charles, to wish him a happy 75th birthday yesterday, despite the duke allegedly claiming that he intended to do so. The husband of Meghan Markle may have had every intention of calling the monarch but it appears that a busy diary got in the way.

Prince Harry Reportedly Failed to Call King Charles on His Birthday

A reliable informant told Express UK that Prince Harry was planning to phone the Palace from persons connected to the Sussex camp in an attempt to mop up the repercussions of not being invited to King Charles’ 75th birthday celebrations.

According to reports, no such conversation took place yesterday because Prince Harry failed to organize a time that worked with the King's extremely busy itinerary, which included two royal engagements and a private birthday party. News of a phone call came as a surprise. Let’s just say that. There might have been a willingness there for the Sussexes to call the King on his birthday, but it certainly wasn’t communicated to the other side in a timely fashion,” the insider claimed.

Other sources suggested that the call could not have occurred at any time. “The King certainly didn’t take the call during the day while he was busy working. The evening was spent with his family and friends and he didn’t have a private moment all evening,” one tipster stated.

Separate sources indicated that King Charles was aware Harry's phone was ringing, but he declined to answer it. "There was no call, every time Harry calls his father, Charles waves the phone away. He does not want to hear from him until he apologizes,” an informant shared.

How Did King Charles Celebrate His 75th Birthday?

King Charles spent his birthday helping to launch a project to support individuals who are food insecure, followed by a Buckingham Palace reception for nurses and midwives in honor of the NHS's 75th anniversary, per Sky News. He spent the evening celebrating his birthday with a magnificent reception at Clarence House, where he was accompanied by prominent members of the Royal Family.

It's not the first time Prince Harry has been turned down by the Palace for failing to give aides enough warning. When the Duke came to Windsor Castle in September for the WellChild Awards and to mark the first anniversary of the late Queen Elizabeth's death, advisors told him that the lack of formal notice and tight schedules made the intended arrangement unworkable.

When Prince Harry came to court earlier this year, he didn't see his father and was simply told that the King was too busy for a family reunion. For months, King Charles and Prince Harry are said to have had little interaction. Relationships within the royal circle have been tense since the release of Prince Harry's tell-all memoir “Spare” in January, as well as a Netflix series that debuted a month early.

Prince Harry launched several attacks on his family. He slammed his father's parenting abilities and accused Queen Camilla of "wicked" leaks to the press. Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, were also targeted, with William still enraged at his brother and refusing to communicate with him.
