‘Preacher’ Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers: Disobeying God & the Daring Vampire Rescue

Preacher Season 4.GameSpot Universe/YouTube

It’s safe to say that there is absolutely no TV show in the world quite like “Preacher.” Based on graphic novels of the same name, the series has been blowing minds on the small screen for three seasons. For fans of this bloody, funny, and irreverent show, “Preacher” Season 4 could not come fast enough. Unfortunately, it’s going to be a long wait yet.

As OtakuKart reports, “Preacher” Season 4 has been renewed last year and will likely feature 10 episodes. That’s 3 short of the season 2 episode count, but there is always a chance that it could increase. This would certainly be nice since fans can’t seem to get enough of the odd trio composed of a vampire, a criminal, and a priest playing host to a powerful entity.

With regards to what fans can look forward to in “Preacher” Season 4, a lot of it will have to do with where the third season ended. For starters, it would appear that this show loves to make fun of the almighty since he was made to speak to Tulip (Ruth Negga) instead of Jesse (Dominic Cooper) directly. God basically asked the sassy female character to relay his cease and desist message to Jesse, which she rejected outright.

This could either mean that he knows the Preacher will simply ignore his wishes if he spoke to him or it could be that God is afraid of the titular protagonist’s power. The latter possibility certainly makes sense, which should make the events in “Preacher” Season 4 much more exciting.

Speaking of which, “Preacher” Season 4 will begin with the attempted rescue of Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). Last season’s finale saw the vampire getting nabbed and then taken to Herr Starr (Pip Torrens). When the upcoming season premieres sometime in 2020, viewers will start their adventure there.
