‘Preacher’ Season 1, Episode 7 Spoilers: “He’s Gone” – Jesse Uses Powers to Rescue Eugene from Hell?

Dominic Cooper plays Jesse Custer on AMC's 'Preacher'

‘Preacher’ season 1’s episode 7 may find Jesse using his powers to rescue Eugene from hell. He may also get into a confrontation with Eugene’s father Sheriff Root, which may get him arrested.

The brief episode synopsis posted on Comic Book Movie read, "Tensions rise as Sheriff Root questions Jesse about Eugene’s disappearance." Jesse (Dominic Cooper) may be forced to tell Sheriff Root (W. Earl Brown) the truth about his son Eugene’s (Ian Colletti) mysterious disappearance.

In the preceding episode, entitled “Sundowner”, Eugene a.k.a. Arseface prodded Jesse to use his powers to convince the Loaches to forgive him but Eugene told him he only did so to follow the Will of God and save the town. However, Eugene insisted.

This prompted Jesse to use the Word of God to tell him off. He said, “go to hell”, accidentally causing Eugene to instantly vanish. According to Movie News Guide, it may become Jesse’s next task to rescue Eugene to where he may have been sent to – presumably the netherworld.

Jesse also learned the full extent of his power as well as the origins of the mighty angel-demon entity Genesis that resided in his body after a meeting with Fiore and DeBlanc (Tom Brooke and Anatol Yusef). Fiore and DeBlanc are two Adephi angels tasked with watching over Genesis.

‘Preacher’ is a black-comedy and supernatural television series based on the popular comic book of the same name created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. It was developed by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin and is broadcasted on AMC.

Episode 7, entitled “He’s Gone”, is scheduled to air on July 10, 2016. The series follows a small-town preacher possessed by a mysterious entity that gives him highly unusual powers. He is joined by his ex-girlfriend Tulip and his vampire friend Cassidy as he is thrust in a crazy new world.
