Poland industrial production grows sharply in October

Polish industrial production growth surged in October. On a year-on-year basis, industrial production rose 7.4 percent in the month, whereas construction-assembly production saw a rise of 22.4 percent. In the January to October period, industrial production rose 6.1 percent year-on-year.

On a sequential basis, industrial production rose 9.9 percent. Eliminating the seasonal factors, industrial production reached level higher by 5 percent year-on-year and 1.2 percent sequentially.

Out of 34 industry divisions, 28 recorded rises, among others, in manufacture of electrical equipment, manufacturing of other transport equipment, manufacture of metal products, in electricity, gas steam and air conditioning supply, in manufacturing of other non-metallic mineral products.

Meanwhile, manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, manufacturing of leather and related products, in mining of coal and lignite recorded decrease in production.
