ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., March 13, 2018 -- Pepper Hamilton LLP announced today that David B. Allen and Derek D. Dundas have joined the firm as partners in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group, resident in the Orange County office.
Mr. Allen, previously a partner with K&L Gates, focuses primarily on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and securities matters. Mr. Dundas, formerly a partner at Rutan & Tucker, focuses his practice on traditional corporate counseling and mergers and acquisitions work in the emerging-growth business and venture capital areas. Both Allen and Dundas have counseled public and private companies in a variety of industries, and have represented issuers, private equity firms and investment banks in public and private debt and equity offerings.
Allen and Dundas previously practiced together at Latham & Watkins and are enthusiastic about reuniting at Pepper Hamilton. Together, they strengthen the corporate capabilities in Pepper Hamilton’s Southern California offices, while bolstering its firmwide corporate and securities practice.

Allen and Dundas will join the more than 90 lawyers in Pepper Hamilton’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group, which advises a broad spectrum of clients.

Mr. Allen received a B.A. in psychology from Yale University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
Mr. Dundas received a B.A. in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
