NEWTON, N.C., Feb. 20, 2018 -- The Board of Directors of Peoples Bancorp of North Carolina, Inc., Newton, NC (Nasdaq:PEBK) declared the Company’s regular cash dividend for the first quarter of 2018 in the amount of $0.13 per share. This is an increase of $0.02 per share from the regular quarterly cash dividend paid in the fourth quarter of 2017, of $0.11 per share after adjusting for the 10% stock dividend paid December 15, 2017. The cash dividend will be paid on March 15, 2018 to shareholders of record on March 5, 2018.
