It has been speculated for a while that the OnePlus 6T will be coming out later this year and it seems someone finally confirmed that this will be the case. At least, this is what it looks like, what with the apparent confirmation coming for a forum moderator. This is a big deal since it is as close to an official disclosure of the launch of the OnePlus 6T as the community has gotten so far.
The forum moderator goes by the name Oalexander, who is apparently the assistant head moderator of the forum where the comment was posted. On the thread, which was discussing the OnePlus 6T, the moderator noted that it will be coming out in the next few months.
“If you want to wait for 6T please do so as it will be out in coming months. When ..we need to wait for the official announcement,” the post reads.
It’s important to take this particular development with a grain of salt due to its unofficial nature, but it does jive with what analysts have been speculating for some time. Not only would it be in line with the release of previous T models from OnePlus, it simply makes sense for the company to release it this year. That is if it wants the OnePlus 6T to actually have a market left to attract.
After all, many other high-end smartphone brands are about to launch their own offerings later this year. With the OnePlus 6T expected to improve on the OnePlus 6 in practically every respect, the company will likely want to capitalize on the goodwill it has generated while it still can.
As Gadget Now notes, The OnePlus 6T might even come with similar features to that of the Oppo Find X, pop-up camera and all. It might also come without a notch, which would be a major improvement in the eyes of many.
