‘One Piece’ chapter 981 release date, spoilers: Apoo survived Kidd's attack; Search for Yamato continues

The battle has begun and unfortunately, it did not start as planned. This is because Luffy lost his cool and their identities were uncovered and this resulted in a fight with Apoo in ”One Piece” chapter 981.

“One Piece” chapter 980 presented the story called “Fighting Music” and although it is unrelated to the raid, image cover for this chapter showed Goto getting a marriage proposal from Charlotte Lola. Of course, he feels disgusted and his reactions can’t hide this fact.

In the main pages, Luffy and the gang have infiltrated the banquet where the beast pirates are celebrating the Golden festival. A fight quickly broke out because Luffy got upset after seeing the enemy pirates wasting away oshiruki when there are kids like Tama who have nothing to eat.

Luffy went on beast mode and attacked the pirates with his Elephant gun. Naturally, he blew his cover with this single action. Apoo and Queen immediately recognized Luffy and Zoro and luckily Kidd heard what happened and went to help his allies.

To catch them quickly, Queen made an announcement that whoever will catch the intruders will be given a seat at the banquet. But then, this means that he will eliminate one of the Flying Six to give the seat to whoever can bring Luffy and Zoro.

On the other hand, Scrtacmen Apoo and Kidd started to fight. The former was so strong but when the latter unleashed his Punk Gibson attack, Apoo fell to the ground and looks like he’s dead.

“One Piece” chapter 981 will pick up exactly where the last episode ended. While many believed that Kidd killed Apoo, it turned out he is lived.

As posted on Reddit’s spoiler page for “One Piece” chapter 981, Apoo survived Kidd’s powerful attack but he suffered great damage. While Luffy, Kidd and Zoro’s identities have been exposed already, Kinemon's group is still careful in their spot.

However, they chose to pass by Black Maria's residence since there are no people around but they got the shock of their lives when Big Mom suddenly appeared. Elsewhere, the headliner in the Beasts Pirates, Who's Who is getting ready to head out to search for Kaido’s son Yamato. “One Piece” chapter 981 concluded with Izo, Marco and Nekomamushi’s appearance.

Finally, as posted on Claystage, “One Piece” chapter 981 is set to arrive on June 8 while the raw scans will be out by June 5.
