The upcoming “Dr. Stone” season 2 will present a new chapter after Senku developed many items for their future explorations and possible war. Although he and the villagers already invented many useful things, including the cellphone, they are expected to create more when situations call for them to make some necessary tools.
“Dr. Stone” season 2 has been delayed, so fans are waiting a lot longer than expected. The first season wrapped up in December 2019, so it means that the anime is already on its sixth-month hiatus. Like the other shows, this Japanese animation was put on hold as the world continues to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
The trailer and what it revealed
The video teaser for “Dr. Stone” season 2 was also released late last year, and the short clip already revealed many things. Firstly, it announced the official renewal of the show, and next, it informed the fans that it will be returning with a new arc called the “Stone Wars.”
While the exact plot is not clear, the video showed Senku, Chrome, and Gen making a promise. They vowed to fight together, and based on the new arc’s title; it could be suggesting that they will be involved in a big war in “Dr. Stone” season 2.
Theories and plot predictions
There is a prediction that Senku will finally solve the mystery of the petrification and perhaps, he and his friends will be able to unfreeze everyone already. But prior to finding the answers, he may also stumble upon many secrets that may complicate things for Senku.
With regard to the petrification, there is a theory that this did not happen intentionally. It was an accident that someone petrified everyone and everything. It was suggested that this person found a device that can freeze and unfreeze an object and while trying to figure out how it works, the machine go off and nobody can reverse its effects anymore.
Release date
It was already announced that it was set to be released in April. This date has been moved to a later date but when is it is unknown. Then again, Game Revolution stated that “Dr. Stone” season 2 would be around by July.
