TUCSON, Ariz., April 16, 2018 -- HPC USER FORUM -- OnScale, today announced that Chief Executive Officer, Ian Campbell will be speak on an expert panel on the third day of the HPC User Forum in Tucson, Arizona. Campbell will share insights on High Performance Computing (HPC) enabled innovation to help CIOs and engineers understand and derive optimum value from HPC resources.
Following the company’s emergence from stealth in March and the announcement of its publicly available OnScale Cloud product this month, OnScale continues to be a catalyst for HPC-enabled innovation in the engineering space. In response to the cost, risk and time constraints that engineers face using legacy CAE software, OnScale built the world’s first Solver-as-a Service Platform with advanced computer-aided engineering (CAE) multiphysics solvers that are seamlessly integrated with a scalable Cloud HPC platform. The OnScale Solvers, combined with the limitless HPC resources available on the cloud, break cost and performance barriers for engineers solving tomorrow’s toughest engineering challenges. Through Campbell’s work leading OnScale, he brings a unique engineering-based perspective to the HPC User Forum panel and will share insights on how market-leading engineering firms are moving more of their most important engineering workloads to the Cloud to enable future technologies like 5G, Driverless and IoT.
The HPC User Forum was established in 1999 to promote the health of the global HPC industry and address issues of common concern to users. The organization has grown to 150 members and is directed by a volunteer Steering Committee of users from government, industry and academia, and operated for the users. The HPC User Forum holds two full-membership meetings a year in the United States and two meetings annually in international locations.
