FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 09, 2016 -- OmniComm Systems, Inc. (OmniComm) (OTCQX:OMCM), a global provider of clinical data capture technology, announced that it will present at the eClinical Forum “Birds of a Feather” webinar on the topic of “eSource Strategies Between Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Data Capture (EDC)”. The presentation will focus on industry drivers for EDC to EHR integration, and review feedback from a recent eSource market survey conducted by OmniComm. OmniComm will also provide a proof-of-concept demonstration on how data can be pulled from an EHR system into the TrialMaster® EDC technology.
Integration between EHR and EDC is an evolving industry initiative to further streamline processes, reduce redundancy, expedite timelines, and contain costs in conducting clinical trials. However, there are significant implementation challenges involving data privacy, data standards, business workflows, and stakeholder collaboration. OmniComm’s presentation will explore various implementation alternatives to this quickly evolving trend.
“The eClinical Forum provides a unique opportunity for authorities representing sponsors, CROs, and technology vendors to collaborate on transformations, trends, and challenges as they relate to clinical trial systems, standards, and business processes,” stated Ken Light, EVP of transformation services, OmniComm Systems. “The Birds-of-a-Feather sessions are designed to provide collaboration and reach a broad representation of the global community.”
“OmniComm Systems has been a long-standing member of the eClinical Forum, regularly presenting at meetings and helping to deliver valued insight and thought leadership to our global member community,” stated Suzanne Bishop, Facilitator of eClinical Forum, North America. “Ken Light, Neil Vivian, and Dr. Yvonne Rollinger of OmniComm Systems are knowledgeable industry subject matter experts, with good perspectives on clinical technology trends, initiatives, and best practices. Registration for this upcoming seminar has been accruing at a record pace, with registrants from 12 countries and 3 continents - reflecting the timeliness and global appreciation of this particular topic.” Participation in the Birds-of-a-Feather webinar is open to anyone from an eClinical Forum member company, gratis.
