Royal Dutch Shell will install AVEVA Group Plc's Engineering Data Warehouse technology to form a common digital network across engineering, operations, and maintenance.
The partnership with AVEVA is part of Shell’s digital transformational strategy.
The cloud software solution will enable Shell to send relevant insights from a single source to policymakers across the key responsibilities.
AVEVA’s state-of-the-art technology will ensure instantaneous improvements for Shell's manufacturing activities and asset reliability while enhancing efficiency and minimizing unplanned leisure.
Shell posted a third-quarter net profit of $489 million, boosted by steadier oil prices.
In contrast, Shell suffered a net loss of $18.1 billion in the second quarter,
Shell's shares have outperformed the industry in the past month, gaining 1.6 percent against the industry’s 6.9 percent decline.
