Official images of the Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon 'Sail' and the Futura x Nike Jam Breakdancing Shoe reveal exciting new designs. Travis Scott’s Sharkidon merges Spiridon and Shark cleat elements, while Futura’s Jam shoes are tailored for breakdancing.
Travis Scott Merges Spiridon and Shark Cleat Elements in New Nike Sharkidon 'Sail' Collaboration
According to Sneaker News, Travis Scott's Jordan Jumpman Jack has received significant accolades thus far, as he has successfully integrated his affinity for forefoot-fastened trainers with a portion of the Air Jordan 1's DNA. Travis Scott's forthcoming Nike Sharkidon merges the Zoom Spiridon, a 1997 running shoe, with the Nike Shark football cleat series, which is set to be reintroduced in its original form later this year. This marks a departure from the Swoosh side of Travis Scott's footwear business.
Travis has gradually released reports of his inaugural Nike shoe over the past year. The dominoes are all in place for what is likely to be another monumental collaborative release from the most impactful partnership in the game, as he has been wearing them on tour and throughout celebrity pick-up softball games.
This more detailed examination of the "Sail" colorway allows the design to speak for itself. The forefoot is adorned with a thick strap and a mesh-like netting on the lateral side, a feature often observed in various Nike Shark cleats from the 1990s. The Spiridon running shoe is distinguished by the shape of the heel and the molded midsole, characterized by a series of peaks that culminate in the upper. The outsole has been altered to accommodate the Cactus Corporation logo; however, the outsole's frame remains unchanged from the previous model.
The release date is unknown; therefore, future developments should be monitored.
Futura's Nike Jam Shoes Debut for Olympic Breakdancing, Featuring Unique Design and Art Motifs
The internationally recognized artist Futura, who developed a Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration under his Futura Laboratories arm earlier this year, is now focusing on breakdancing, one of the most captivating new sports to enter the Olympic arena. Nike will introduce the Nike Jam footwear, designed for street acrobats, during the second-ever breakdancing events at the Olympics.
The Nike Jam, formally unveiled at Nike's On Air event in Paris, is equipped with distinctive tooling tailored to the precise specifications of breakdancing. One of the most notable features is the upside-down Swoosh logo on the midsole. It occasionally appears erect during the various maneuvers on stage.
Futura's signature art motif is featured on the insole, interior lining, and pull tabs at the heel, where various blots and sprays in pink, red, orange, and Concord purple are visible. In his works' distinctive typeface, the Nike trademark is displayed at the heel.
The release date for the Futura x Nike Jam has yet to be disclosed. However, the two colorways of this Nike breakdancing shoe have been verified to be released on July 24th. Therefore, it is reasonable to anticipate that this collaboration will be available around the Opening Ceremony later this month.
