MONTERREY, Mexico, Sept. 12, 2016 -- Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, S.A.B. de C.V., known as OMA (NASDAQ:OMAB) (BMV:OMA), was selected to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for Emerging Markets. This index represents the highest standard for corporate sustainability based on economic, environmental, social, and corporate governance criteria.
This is the first time that OMA has been selected for inclusion in the DJSI, from among 1,986 companies in developed economies and emerging markets. Only five companies in Mexico are included in the index, of which only two are in the transportation sector. The selection represents an important achievement for OMA, our partners, shareholders, and employees.
