ALLENTOWN, Pa., April 18, 2018 -- On April 4th, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf appointed Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters’ (NRCC) Local 167 Council Representative Kevin Lott to the State’s Uniform Construction Code Review and Advisory Council.
“I am extremely honored to be given this opportunity and I am eager to contribute to the effort of writing and reviewing codes and policies to help the economy, residents and labor movement in the region,” said NRCC Local 167 Council Representative Kevin Lott. “The Uniform Construction Code Review and Advisory Council is a key influencer when it comes to creating better infrastructure and more stable, environmentally-friendly, safer structures/construction projects in the State of Pennsylvania.”
According to the organization’s website: “The Uniform Construction Code Review and Advisory Council was established by the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act (PCCA) and consists of 21 members, with appointments made by the Governor and the General Assembly. The members represent industry sectors that participate in the various aspects relating to building - including building component design, construction, building code enforcement and local government representation and is charged with making recommendations to the Governor, the General Assembly and Labor & Industry regarding proposed changes to the PCCA.”
