SAN DIEGO, March 09, 2018 -- Substance abuse news provider The Recover has a finished a localized directory for drug treatment facilities in local areas. The addiction and recovery news site has finished building its New Jersey Paterson page which now adds to the 60 city based pages for the residents of the Garden State to find answers to their questions regarding local statistics, and treatment for their addictions. Heroin is the most abused drug in state, with Alcohol a close second. But treatment for an opioid addiction is much different than alcohol addiction, and sometimes finding help can be hard to find. The state page breaks down the most populated heroin abuse cities in New Jersey, and residents can find the treatment centers closest to them.

New Jersey drug addiction help is needed for cities like Newark that has had a reported 17% increase in heroin abuse cases in 2015. Paterson came in second with a 16% increase and was the home to a major narcotics supply network that was distributing millions of dollars’ worth of Heroin in 2012. Atlantic City which is known for its Vegas like appeal is also one of the most heroin plagued cities in the state, and those numbers have affected the cities violent crimes as well. The 31% increase in heroin related abuse cases was one of the biggest jumps in the cities.
The New Jersey Drug Court system has been one of the tools the state has utilized to combat the drug rise in the state. Benefits of the NJDC has helped criminals with addiction issues learn to overcome their dependencies with treatment and support meetings. The courts use accountability measures such as drug testing and weekly check ins with drug court officials to check in with participants. The drug court program has given minor offenders a second chance at fixing their records and obtaining help with their addictions with relapse prevention methods before being thrown into the overcrowded jail and prison systems.
