As one of the most popular superhero anime properties in the industry, the video game adaptation of My Hero Academia would naturally gain a lot of attention from fans. Now, screenshots of the game have been revealed, showcasing some of the characters as they appear in the game. Since it’s also made by Bandai Namco, the game is an action title through and through.
Titled My Hero Academia: One’s Justice, the game is set for release on the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch, Siliconera reports. The screenshots can be viewed via the game’s official website, which were also shared on social media.
The screenshots focus mainly on the anime’s protagonist, Izuku Midoriya and the main antagonist, Tomura Shigaraki. The images feature the characters in various poses and mid-fight scenes, providing fans with some ideas as to what the combat is likely going to look like.
Of course, since this is a Bandai Namco game and a Japanese property, at that, gamers can expect a lot of flashy moves and impressive destruction. Midoriya himself is a super-powered character who inherited the Quirk known as One For All, which essentially gives him explosive strength. Expect plenty of concrete crushing and building smashing action from this title.
Before anyone gets too excited, however, it’s worth pointing out that a Western release is not guaranteed. As Gamespot points out, Bandai Namco has said nothing about an adaptation for the U.S. and European markets. In fact, there hasn’t even been any confirmation as to when the game will be released.
More details were promised to be revealed at the Jump Festa 2018 expo that will be held in Japan on December 16th. A proper trailer for the game will also be revealed during the event, so fans can mark that date to find out what they can expect from this upcoming title.
