Boca Raton, FL, June 08, 2017 -- The Quadruple Impact Challenge, a new competition aimed at highlighting and rewarding innovation in the medical technology market, has begun to accept online applications for the 2017 Challenge. This first-ever competition of its kind for the medtech industry will award a $10,000 cash grand prize to the overall winner at a live competition finale in Las Vegas on Thursday, December 14 at the MedTech Impact Expo & Conference.
Quadruple Impact Challenge partners, MedTech Impact/Tarsus Group and Medstro/MedTech Boston, recently announced the partnership to produce this unique competition that encourages innovation and accomplishes the Quadruple Aim – enhancing the patient experience, improving population health, reducing costs, and improving the work life of health care providers, clinicians and staff.

“This is an open call for on the ground solutions or ideas that will create impact, big or small, in medicine,” remarked RD Whitney, Executive Vice President of Tarsus Group, North America, producer of MedTech Impact Expo & Conference. “We want to support the industry in delivering and enhancing patient care, and we’re hoping this competition will encourage the industry to do that.”
The Challenge is open to all interested parties with potential solutions to achieve the goal of the quadruple aim, including healthcare professionals and practitioners, engineers, scientists, thinkers, entrepreneurs, inventors, family and friends of patients and patients themselves. Entries can be based in the technological process – whether related to software or hardware – or can focus on an educational aspect, process improvement or even a policy change.
Entries will be accepted through Medstro’s online platform, here through October 10, 2017, during which time the entrants may refine their submission up until the deadline. After that, six finalists will be determined based on a combination of online voting and the votes of the panel of judges. The finalists will be invited to pitch their ideas in front of a live audience at the MedTech Impact Expo & Conference in Last Vegas on Thursday, December 14th, and one will be selected by the judges as the single grand prize winner, and awarded the $10,000 cash prize. All entrants will receive free admission to attend the live event in December.
