Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman are facing each other in the ring in less than two weeks. They will be competing for the WBA Super World welterweight title with the latter needing to defend his belt. Prior to the fight, the American boxer has been taunting his opponent with his provoking words, but Pacman is just laughing them off.

Thurman’s threat

Thurman previously said that he would send Pacquiao to retirement and even mentioned Oscar De La Hoya that the Filipino boxing champ defeated in 2008. But the 40-year-old fighter is not a bit intimidated by this threat, but he is amused and inspired instead.

Manny Pacquiao also responded that no will tell him when he is retiring because he will do it in his own terms. He added that he is still in good shape despite his age, so he can still defeat his opponents.

Recently, Keith Thurman spit out another warning for Pacquiao when he said that he does not have much time left in the boxing scene. It will be over for Pacman after their fight, so he better watch out.

“I just believe the hourglass is almost finished,” Thurman told Boxing Scene “He doesn’t have much left, go play basketball Manny! You say you like to play basketball every day. Go shoot hoops with the guys, man!”

Pacquiao, the underdog

Keith Thurman is undefeated with a 29-0 record and is ten years younger than Pacquiao, but despite this stats, the latter said that he actually likes it that he is the underdog in their fight since he has losses already with a 61-7-2 record. The 30-year-old boxer also said that this is his battle since it is his belt that they are fighting for.

Manny Pacquiao is older, but he still has it. His sparring mates are convinced that he will win in this bout because they can feel his unwavering power. He is also the leading favorite in this battle not just among the fans but boxer enthusiasts as well.

Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman are scheduled to exchange punches at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on July 20. If the former will win, he will be expanding his career record to nine-division world boxing champion, another first in history.
