LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, Md., Dec. 11, 2017 -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that Enlighten IT Consulting (EITC), a MacB company, was recently named as one of Baltimore’s Top Workplaces in 2017 by The Baltimore Sun Media Group. Enlighten was chosen among 125 companies and organizations selected based on confidential employee surveys conducted by a third party. Responses were measured covering seven organizational areas including company alignment, effectiveness, staff managers, employee engagement, company leadership and pay/benefits.
Rankings for organizations in the public, private, nonprofit and/or government sectors were eligible if they had at least 35 employees working in the Baltimore metro area. All were placed into groups of similar size because smaller employers tend to score higher than midsize employers, and midsize employers tend to score higher than large employers. Companies within those categories scoring high enough were recognized as Top Workplaces in 2017.
"We were ranked highest in the effectiveness category measuring workplace productivity and acceptance of new ideas under Baltimore’s top small employers,” said Shawn Justice, MacB Senior Vice President and General Manager of EITC. “This speaks highly of our company culture valuing innovation and collaboration among a diverse and technically-skilled workforce. We are truly honored to have been selected, especially since the judges were our own employees.”
“MacB acquired EITC in late 2016 because we recognized the company’s reputation as an award-winning provider of secure cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and big data analytics in highly sought-after customer missions,” said Sid Fuchs, President and Chief Executive Officer of MacB. “This recognition speaks highly of Shawn’s leadership and Enlighten’s outstanding corporate culture.”
