Apple is supposed to be the company with an eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining excellent quality. However, it would seem that it has been slipping with regards to the MacBook Pro 2018 since issues seem to be cropping up one after another. After the matter of the processor throttling, many users are now complaining about the speakers making crackling sounds.
The Cupertino firm advertised the speakers of the MacBook Pro 2018 as supposedly taking “listening to new levels with wide dynamic range and more bass for maximum boom.” Apple even touted the speakers to be the best that it has made yet, The Next Web reports. This new crackling problem flies right in the face of that claim, casting it in a somewhat unfavorable light.
Users have been posting YouTube videos to demonstrate this particular issue, which seems to be producing a distracting sound even at lower volumes. With all of the other problems that were found on the MacBook Pro 2018 already, many are starting to wonder if Apple even really cares anymore.
It seems the company is aware of the matter, as well, though it’s still unclear if the cause of the issue has already been identified. As of writing, it still hasn’t, which puts the prospect of buying a MacBook Pro 2018 in a terrible light.
As Forbes notes, this problem with the speaker is not a superficial matter that many could just ignore. It’s a core feature of the MacBook Pro 2018 and one that shouldn’t be this much of a failure. At this point, it’s difficult to say if the unit has stopped showing its ugly side despite the sleek exterior. There were already issues found with the processor, the keyboard, and now, the speakers. Who is to say that there wouldn’t be more such problems down the road?
